Returns Information Below
You’re welcome to return your item within 30 days of the purchase date.


RETURN ELIGIBILITY

To qualify for a return, items must:

  • Be unused and in the same condition they arrived in

  • Include original packaging 

  • Be unworn (trying on is fine—signs of wear and tear will void the return)

Once your return is approved, you’ll be able to send it back to Atacama Boutique HQ. Please ensure your item is posted within the 30-day return window. Returns sent outside of this timeframe won’t be accepted and return shipping will be at the customer’s expense.

❗ Please do not send anything back before receiving approval.

Final sale items, including earrings, cannot be returned.
Returns must include a packing slip or your name and order number so we know who you are.
Custom or personalised items are not eligible for return.


HOW RETURNS WORK

Each order is eligible for one return—this includes re-orders made using store credit.

If your item meets the return criteria, you can choose between a same-product exchange or store credit.

Once your return has been approved and received, please allow up to 5 business days (or up to 10 business days during sale periods) for our team to process your return.

Tracking info for exchanges or store credit details will be emailed to you.


RETURN SHIPPING COSTS

  • Customers are responsible for the cost of returning items.

  • If exchanging, Atacama Boutique will cover the cost of sending your new item to you.


FAQs

Instant Exchanges
These are sent out right away! If your return isn’t scanned as “in transit” by the postal carrier within 7 days, the cost of the replacement item will be charged to you.

Returns must come back in original, unworn condition. Items returned with damage or signs of wear will be charged accordingly.

Store Credit
Available for all eligible returns.

Sale Items
Items purchased on sale are final and cannot be returned.

Local Returns (Northern Rivers Area)
Local to our HQ? You can request an in-person return via the Contact Us page just select the appropriate option.


FAULTY ITEMS & WARRANTY

Think your item has a manufacturing fault?
Please email us at atacamajewellery@gmail.com with:

  • A description of the issue

  • Clear photos of the fault

This helps us resolve your warranty claim as quickly as possible.

Warranty coverage:

  • All Atacama Boutique jewellery comes with a 3-month warranty against manufacturing defects.

  • This warranty does not cover loss, damage, tarnish, or breakage due to misuse or improper storage.

  • Warranty claims require the item to be sent back to us for inspection.

  • Lost items are not covered under warranty.

Final decision on replacement or repair is at Atacama Boutique’s discretion.


INCORRECT OR MISSING ITEM?

If we’ve sent the wrong item (oops!), contact us at atacamajewellery@gmail.com with your:

  • Order number

  • A photo of the item received

We’ll get it sorted ASAP!


INTERNATIONAL RETURNS

For customers outside Australia:
Please email atacamajewellery@gmail.com before sending anything back.

  • Duties, VAT, and taxes are non-refundable

  • Include your name, order number, and email in the return package

  • All exchanges/store credit orders are shipped via Australia Post

Do not return your order without prior approval.


SHIPPING & PACKAGING

  • Original shipping and insurance charges are non-refundable

  • Customers cover the return shipping

  • You can keep your complimentary ring sizer, but all other packaging must be returned for store credit

  • Missing packaging will result in a $5 deduction


GIFT WITH PURCHASE

If your original order included a gift-with-purchase, that gift must be returned too. If it’s not included, we’ll deduct its value from your return total.


SHIPPING PROTECTION

At checkout, we offer optional Shipping Protection covering loss, damage, and theft. If you decline this, we are not responsible for parcels that go missing or arrive damaged.


CHANGE OF MIND

We do not offer refunds for change of mind. However, you’re welcome to exchange or request store credit if eligible.


RETURN TO SENDER

If your parcel is returned to us by Australia Post as “Return to Sender,” we’ll pass on the $10 return charge plus a re-shipping fee:

  • $10.49 for standard shipping

  • $15.95 for express


FINAL NOTES

  • It’s your responsibility to understand and agree to these return terms before sending anything back.

  • Damaged items may be returned to you or donated, depending on the situation.

  • Store credit or exchanges reflect the amount paid at checkout, minus gift wrapping, shipping, or insurance.

  • Personalised items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
